A Study of the Passion for Teaching Profession and Happiness among Forest Kindergarten Teachers

    Abstract

    The objective of this study was to discuss how forest kindergarten types would influence forest kindergarten teachers' passion for teaching profession and happiness. In order to achieve the objective objective , a survey was conducted targeting 296 forest kindergarten teachers in South Korea. Results of the research have revealed that the forest kindergarten types have different impact on the teachers' passion for teaching profession and happiness, and the highest scores were gained from the forest kindergarten teachers of the Daily Routine-Forest Class followed by these teachers of the Forest Day-Class Type A(Two to three times per week), the Forest Day-Class Type B(Two to four times per month) and the Non-regular Type. Such findings of this study may be used as basic reference information to advance forest kindergartens in Korea and to develop training programs of forest kindergarten teachers
